It’s Scotland 2025; 11 years after that referendum, the political event opening Scotland’s eyes for once and forever.

‘We’ the ordinary people of Scotland, lost and won at the same time in 2014; we learned how to agitate and demonstrate and we knew the hurt of unexpected loss. The win was the learning, the dress rehearsal, the development of the process comprising the liberation of our country. Knowing there were mistakes we shall not and cannot make again.

Our country, our people, we have matured in a decade or so. We demand our right, the right to choose. It’s about being the Scotland we want, the country standing on our own two feet, holding our own, no better, no worse than any other, but equals, neither inferior, nor superior. What a gain that is.

The key is of course unity of purpose; that requires encouraging the others who seek to keep power and privilege within a small elite band that they don’t deserve and can’t be trusted with that privilege. Surrender power to gain respect and admiration beyond compare. 

It’s John Swinney’s turn in the sun – for him to speak with his comrades in political arms, create a collective and deliver Scotland’s destiny. Remove Labour and Tory austerity, hunger and want. Consign Rape Clauses and Bedroom Tax to history, create national energy and housebuilding companies, build an oil fund, a wind fund, an energy fund, obliterate the attainment gap, annihilate child poverty and ensure that the working poor are poor no more. Competent government with the driven and directed building the Scotland we seek.

Scotland free, or a desert ? Scotland Forever ? Or enough to say we are Scotland and we are free ? We attain this with unity of purpose, not partisan politics, we seek a country and will deliver a peaceable land of plenty with  Independence Nothing Less.
