A TALE OF TWO SCOTLANDS
We are again approaching a crossroads.
A housing emergency with no end in sight; alcohol-related death four times more likely in poorer Scottish homes and families than in our wealthier; little shrinking of the poverty related attainment gap; the closure of the Grangemouth refinery without even a cursory attempt at rescue; rising fuel prices in this land of energy plenty; the onset of winter and the choice between eat and heat; the cost of living crisis; Brexit; digital ID; no oil fund, no wind fund, no wave fund; penny-pinching wrong minded disputes about whether we can afford to give our children a week in a year to explore our wonderful landscape – that’s the cost of the Union, the warm enfolding embrace promised by spivs and selfish vagabonds some 11 years ago.
Or a new beginning – the chance to walk tall – the opportunities abound with our independence.
Imagine building our independent Scotland – harnessing our resources for the good of our people.
A national housebuilding company, national energy company, jobs paying decent wages, a revamped NHS funded and able to operate successfully economically and efficiently; care homes fully equipped and staffed; nurseries, schools and colleges offering real hope of advancement – the realisation of the potential of our greatest resource – the people of Scotland.
What’s it to be Scotland ?
An equal place on the world stage as a peace loving peaceful prosperous nation ? Led by the fearless, determined and capable people waiting in the wings? A country where we strive for equality, influenced not by pomp and finery, betrayed not by rank or privilege but respected cherished and served by our finest most qualified, innovative and vigorous?
Or forever condemned to remain a region, an outpost, a playground, the butt of warped jokes and jibes, fearful of further decay, devoid of hope, hobbled and beaten? Doomed to a life in the grey shadows, shuffling through dark days, staring at our feet as we queue in food banks, trying to look invisible ?
The choice is yours.
My choice ? Liberate Scotland. Independence Nothing Less. Independence Nothing Else.
